What is a hindrance in tennis?

If a player is hindered by something the opponent does on purpose, the hindered player wins the point. If the hindrance is unintentional, or comes from outside the court, a let is called and the point is replayed.

Shouting during a rally or a hat falling off mid-point are common examples. After the first accidental hindrance of a kind, a repeat can be treated as deliberate.
